An incredible evening at Caffè Tommaseo with the perfect food and wine combination of food. Starring Villa Russiz bottles, carefully selected to accompany first finger foods created specifically by Chef Stefano Blasotti, then a light dinner with two tasty dishes. Starts with aperitivif and Friulano 2016 Villa Russiz. A wine that fits perfectly, thanks to its excellent minerality, the delicate dish chosen as first couse: Creamy Cod with potatoes vanilla and lemon flavoured. It continues with Sauvignon 2016 Villa Russiz, elegant and soft, with Smoked Swordfish with aubergine purée and confit tomatoes. And finally Gräfin De La Tour 2013 Villa Russiz, fragrant and intense, that bring out in a commendable way the Terrina of Savoy Cabbage and bacon with cuttlefish hamburger and olive powder. The dinner, two surprising dishes: Tomato Terrina, basil pesto and seabass carpaccio accompanied by Malvasia 2016 Villa Russiz and Tataky tuna with herbs flavoured fresh zucchini with Pinot Bianco 2017 Villa Russiz. in the most prestigious area of Trieste, close to famous Piazza Unita d'Italia, Caffè Tommaseo owes its name to Tommaso Marcato, who founded in 1830. Since 1954, Caffè Tommaseo has been protected as an historic and artistic monument, honorificence of "Locale Storico D'Italia". Today the restaurant, completely renowed, has a new management that combines the historic coffee with Enoteca Bischoff, famous wine shop since 1777 which ensure the highest level of wine selection.
